The Flow House not only organizes surf and/or kite surf lessons. For your convinience, it is now possible to book for dolphin trips, kayak trips, boat trips and quad bike tours directly at the Flow House. It is also possible to hire a car directly with the staff at the Flow House, at very competitive rates.

With over 3000hrs of sunshine every year and sea temperatures close to 20º, you will find it irresistible to visit the beaches in the Lagos region.

Considered to be the most beautiful in theAlgarve, the beaches in Lagos have yet to become as crowded as the East Algarve, which means one can still find his own stretch of sandy heaven.

Technically, these beaches are so perfect that they have been awarded the eco "blue-flag", the European Union standards, ranking high on criteria such as quality of the water, clean sand, environment-conscious infrastructures. And although Portugal has the most number of "blue-flag" beaches in Europe, this is not a distinction that is awarded lightly, and not all beaches meet these standards.

Whether you prefer a long stretch of golden sand like the 4km long Meia Praia, or you prefer the smaller sandy coves such as Praia D. Ana, or Praia do Pinhão, you are not lacking in choice. The ambience and views will take your breath away.

Alternatively, you can try the beach at the small fishing village of Praia Da Luz, 10min drive away from the Flow House.

All the beaches are within walking distance from the Flow House.

  • Meia Praia
  • Praia da Batata
  • Praia do Pinhão
  • Praia do Camilo
  • Praia D. Ana
  • Praia dos Estudantes
  • Praia do Canavial
  • Praia do Porto de Mós
  • (Outside Lagos, short distance)
  • Praia da Luz
  • Burgau
  • D. Maria

Lagos is the place where there´s no reason for your fun to end when the sun goes down. With numerous bars all over town, one is spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing where to have a drink.

When you´re surrounded by the ocean, watersports are on top of your list, and Lagos is perfect for watersports, Surfing and Kite Surfing in particular.

Lagos is one of the tips of the golden triangle of surf in South-West Europe, a triangle completed by Sagres and Aljezur, both within 30km from the Flow House, something like 20min driving. This means you are 20min away from world famous beaches like Arrifana and Carrapateira, just 20min away from several other lesser known, yet equally good or better, surf spots. Your choice will be of beach breaks or pointbreaks, protected from the wind by high cliffs, uncrowded and off the beaten path. When the swell direction is SW through SE, the south coast lights up.

If you´re into Kite Surfing, the saltwater lagoon at the end of Meia Praia is a world class Kiting spot, with warm water and constant wind. It is the site of an international Kite Surfing completion every year.

But there is more to explore, on and off water:

  • Wake Boarding
  • Wind Surfing
  • Parasailing
  • Mountain Bike
  • Rock Climbing
  • Sky Diving
  • Skateboarding
